Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for joining us at today’s Table! Every month, your insights, energy, and contributions remind us why this community is so special. Here’s a quick recap of what we covered, organized by our usual T.A.B.L.E. format:
T- Tips & Tricks
- Be easy on yourself and others — you are better than good enough.
- Book recommendation: The ADHD Advantage by Dale Archer, M.D.
- Discover the difference between motivation (external) and inspiration (internal) — and find both!
- Remember: everything you do is marketing. Shift from selling to helping.
- Take some time to get lost on purpose! (Advice from Abe, who got lost for 6 hours doing this) Buy a paper map and a compass. Explore the unbeaten path!
A – Actions & Achievements
- A Table regular landed her biggest 6-figure payday through The Table — major win!
- Another tabler took a leap of faith, bet on herself, AND helped save a life.
- One of our own, Barbara, is celebrating a promotion at 5/3rd Bank— Congrats!
- Meegan from Amplify Clearwater just moved to Florida this month — Welcome!
- First quarter wins are already rolling in.
B – Bitchin’ & Botherin’
Today’s conversation around economic and societal challenges was deeply honest and full of heart. We acknowledged how hard it is for so many just to stay afloat, and how systemic struggles—like wage gaps, housing affordability, and burnout—are affecting people in real and personal ways.
What stood out most was the collective call for compassion. Compassion for others who are navigating uncertainty, and compassion for ourselves as we try to plan for a future that often feels unstable.
We’re not here to sugarcoat things—we’re here to support each other, to listen actively, and to remember that grace is a gift we can all give. The world is heavy sometimes, but when we sit at this table, we’re reminded that we don’t have to carry it alone.
L – Legal
- A new bill regarding labor laws may allow 16–17-year-olds to work 8-hour days. https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/child-labor-laws-florida-measure-would-let-teens-work-8-hours-on-school-nights/3576050/
- Three new labor bills are in motion — one expanding E-Verification (Bill 782 Attached) to include all employees, even domestic (babysitters, housekeepers).
- This would elevate violations from civil to criminal, potentially putting your business license at risk.
- These changes affect all of us, so it’s more important than ever to exercise your voice.
- Call your representatives, write letters, and share your perspective!
- The Chamber has pre-written templates to make it easier.
- Amplify Clearwater is here to help you speak up in your community through events, resources, and access to valuable information—contact Joe Lugo for support and resources.
