Hi friends!
Thank you all so much for coming out today and breaking bread (well… pastries) with us. There’s something so powerful about sitting down with intention—and everyone at The T.A.B.L.E. continues to prove just how impactful connection can be when we lead with generosity, curiosity, and a little humor.
Here’s what we covered:
T – Tips & Tricks
• Check out BuildFax—basically a CarFax for houses
• Add The Go-Giver (Bob Burg & John David Mann) and Never Split the Difference (Chris Voss & Tahl Raz) to your book queue
• Ask for lead time, not just the task
• Want stronger relationships? Treat clients like friends, not files
• “What time works?” is fine—but “What question do I need to answer for you?” might work better
• Hurricane season prep: Save your docs, snap your photos now

B – Bitchin’ & Botherin’
• Heads up: We’re expecting a surge of Gen Zers looking for flexible work!
• Make sure your preferred vendors are on the list (You can even include your kids on that list that offer services such as lawn care or organizational cleaning)
• Learning what doesn’t work is often just as valuable as what does!
• The summer is a busy time! And that is totally understandable. Be sure to communicate with anyone you’ve committed to.
• FYI: Important info shared only on Facebook or in a group chat tends to get lost
And a gentle reminder from Ryan: If you offer someone two choices, do not get upset if they do not choose the option you wanted them to.
L – Legal and…. Legal!
• E-Verify is now required for employers with 25+ staff
• Standard deduction raised = itemized deductions mostly out
• No FIT (Federal Income Tax) on:
→ Tips (2026–2028)
→ Overtime (2025–2028)
→ Car loans
• Employers offering childcare, medical/maternity leave, or adoption support may qualify for new tax credits
• Damage from disasters after Feb. 10, 2025 is deductible
• Had a baby in 2025? Start that savings account
• Health Savings Account funds can now go toward gym memberships (Up to $500 a year)

Special Bonus! Burger Topping Inspiration
You didn’t think we’d forget, did you? Here’s a running list of favorite burger toppings that came up during the meeting. Try one you’ve never had and let us know what makes your perfect bite:
BBQ chips, bacon jam, goat cheese, peanut butter (yes really), bleu cheese, gorgonzola, fried egg, avocado, sautéed onion, pickles, garlic, mushroom, Wisconsin cheddar, 1000 island, potato sticks with Venezuelan cheese, aioli, jalapeño, pulled pork, whiskey sauce, mayo, ketchup, red onion, American cheese, and of course—classic bacon.
Thanks again for showing up, sharing space, and making The T.A.B.L.E. such a rewarding place to grow. Let’s keep learning from each other, cheering each other on, and trying weird burger toppings. 😉
Until next time,
