First and foremost, Thank you to everyone, for joining us at “The Table” today and for actively participating in the discussion. We wanted to take a minute to recap all of the valuable insights shared during today’s event.
T: Tips and Tools
Today, we talked about the importance of being authentic with clients. It can be tough to come up with new responses all the time, but the upgraded version of Chat GPT or AI software is said to be tenfold better – like a digital personal assistant. Remember, if you can see through the AI, your clients can too!
Babbel is an awesome free tool for learning a new language and breaking barriers. Check it out here: Babbel Exclusive Offer
Another tip we discussed is looking for industry professionals outside of your own field. For example, Pinellas Technical College (PTech) in Clearwater, Florida, offers technical training tailored to meet the needs of various businesses and industries.
A: Actions and Achievements
We were inspired today by the amazing actions the group has taken in the past month! From helping Community Service Foundation in their valiant efforts to find proper housing units, hosting successful Business Grand Openings, and repurposing veteran parachutes, to finishing insightful books and “Bringing the Wife (as requested)!”
We were reminded today that time waits for no one and we are responsible for making the most out of what we get.
B: Bitching. Bothering, and Books!
Today, The Table discussed the frustrating situation where a seemingly perfect candidate turns out not to be the right fit after hiring. It’s becoming harder to trust people’s words, even references. Many are seeing a lack of work ethic and positive attitude in the workplace, affecting productivity.
One solution that was explored is getting creative during the hiring process, allowing applicants to showcase their skills in innovative ways. Another option is implementing a “30 Day Trial Period” to assess fit with the workplace culture.
Business professionals agree that the two most important qualities in a candidate are a ruthlessly positive attitude and a genuine work ethic.
We handed out “Acres of Diamonds” by Russell Conwell, a quick read to remind us all to take care of our own side of the fence.
